These flies love compost and turn them into a food source for animals like poultry, pigs and fish. Black soldier flies are very easy to raise and are completely harmless to humans. They live almost anywhere but grow particularly well in moderately warm areas. The manual brushing is used for remove the calcium deposition on the surface of the sea cucumber in Sri Lankan food processing industries. It is a time-consuming process and requires more labor cost. This is adversely affecting the final quality of the product with the irregular surface of end product, which is a one of the drawback for the export companies.
