The patent titled “An automated faucet with an integral liquid washing dispenser for regulated handwashing” has been awarded to University of Jaffna. The inventor of this patent is Mr. Khalingarasah Harichandra from Department of Fisheries, Faculty of Science and the patent is owned by University of Jaffna. This patent was Gazetted in Sri Lanka on 04.03.2022 and awarded on 21.06.2022.

The event of receiving the patent document from the Vice-chancellor by the Inventor in the senate meeting 01.11.2022 was held at the Board Room.
