Under Phase 2 of AHEAD Operation a separate physical space for UBL Jaffna was established and necessary furnitures were purchased. Also it was equipped with essential electronic equipment. As a part of it, Opening ceremony of UBL – Jaffna was planned on 1st of July 2020 at 10pm and the cell was officially opened by Prof.K.Kandasamy (competent Authority)
Bursar, Director/OTS, Senior Administrative Officer/OTS, Deans, Faculty Coordinators, Technical Evaluation committee members, Administrative officers etc. are participated in the ceremony. A zoom invitation also made regarding Opening ceremony. Prof. Thusitha Abeythunga (Lead Academic Expert of AHEAD Project) and few other invitees from other districts participated via zoom.
Ceremony is inaugurated with the oiling of traditional lamp and ribbon cutting by Prof.K.Kandasamy and the attendees were welcomed by Director UBL Dr. T. Eswaramohan. Also he explained about University Business Linkage Cells, Key Performance Factors and Expected targets. Following to the Prof.K.Kandasamy addresses the audience. He appreciated the current achievements and shared his view on further developments that can be carried out by UBL. Mr.K.Sureshmkumar (Bursar), Mr.E.Y.A.Charles (Director/OTS), Mr.K.Kanagaratnam (SAO/OTS) and Mr.P.Ravirajan (Dean, Faculty of Science) has added their opinions and involved in discussions.
